As I write this it is snowing to beat the band, but I still cannot stop thinking about the upcoming boating season. I am definitely suffering from cabin fever; I can’t wait to get out on the water!

The most frequently asked question that I hear this time of year is “What do you do all winter?” The answer is a lot! The guys have been busy in the shop working on boat repairs. Now is a great time for you to get repairs or upgrades to your boat so that it is ready for the boating season. Contact Kevin if you would like to discuss a project.

We also have been working on several facility improvement projects. The hallway between the lounge and shop area has been tiled. You wouldn’t believe how much it brightens up the space. We also replaced the tables and chairs in the lounge, and added an entertainment center and a buffet for our new coffee bar. The new tables and chairs are not only nicer, and more comfortable, but they are also more versatile to use for events in the lounge.

The coffee bar is one of the three top requests from our member survey. So, to that request we can say “check.” Also requested, were complementary bikes and a fire pit. To those requests, “check and check!” The bikes are assembled and ready, and there will be a fire pit by the pavilion for you to enjoy this season. An addtional request from customers was fender boards on thier docks for during lower water. While it is cost prohibitive for the marina to install them on every dock, we will offer a special price for the fender boards. If you would like one installed, we will do so for $ 350.00. This provides that we instatl it during the winter while there is still ice on the bay. Call Kevin if you are interested.

A person that I admire has said that as a business owner, “You need to work on your business, not in your business.” Well, it has certainly been a winter for me to work on the business. I have been working on developing a new logo and website. I have also been working with a landscape architect to develop a master plan for future beautification of the marina grounds. These improvements will be phased, so site development can be done without major costs per year. Cool stuff!

So, we hard at work this winter making Katlynn even better. I can’t wait for you all to return, so you can see what we’ve been up to! Come on summer!!!!!

Sincerely,

Deb Agostinelli
